Producer: Jean Benoit Vivequain and Anna Rubio - La Voluta
Region: Cucugnan, Rousillon, France
Grape: Grenache Noir & Carignan
Style: Structured Red Wine
Size: 75cl bottle
This is wonderfully intriguing wine. Juice from both grapes see oxidative ageing in the cellar before sitting outside in the sun for 6 months. The Grenache (from 2018) is aged in barrel for 21 months and Carignan (from 2017) aged in barrel for 41 months are then blended before bottling. This wine has so much character as do all the wines from La Voluta, this is truly where alchemy meets wine!
